Abstract

This research is an action research conducted at SMP PGRI 1 Cilongok, Cilongok District, Banyumas Regency. This research is entitled "Application of Self Management Techniques to Reduce Behavioral Deviations in Students of Punk Community Members at SMP PGRI 1 Cilongok" Deviance is often associated with behavior that does not conform to existing rules, norms, or laws. This research was conducted because of the phenomenon of behavior deviation in students folowing members of the Punk community at SMP PGRI 1 Cilongok. Deviations made have entered the secondary stage which is included in severe actions in school regulations. What makes the school dilemma is because of several things, if allowed to continue it can have a bad impact on students themselves, schools and the community, therefore proper handling is needed to overcome these behavioral deviations. The purpose of this study is to reduce behavioral deviations committed by student members of the Punk community at SMP PGRI 1 Cilongok This study done by by purposive sampling based on the highest number of points made by initials name of AM, RM, ANL and RA students. This study uses data collection methods by observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed qualitatively by performing data reduction, side analysis, data presentation and verification. Data validation was carried out using triangulation techniques. The study was conducted for approximately 3 months. Research subjects were given individual counseling services with self-management techniques with 6 meetings. Subjects filled out self-management sheets in the form of behavior assessments and behaviorcontracts at the beginning of the meeting, then filled out self-reward, self-control sheets, monitoring sheets and filled out daily monitoring sheets that were filled out every day and the results were used as discussion material for the next counseling. It can be seen that the subject gradually experienced a decrease in the number of behavioral deviations carried outevery week until the end of the counseling meeting and the subject voluntarily left the Punk community. Subjects are aware that the reason they commit a lot of deviant behavior is because they join members of the Punk community. Based on the results of the study, it can be suggested that in dealing with behavioral deviations of Punk community members at junior high school age, it is better not to only give points and punishments, but schools can provide counseling using self-management techniques to overcome problems related to Punk member students who deviate. behavior, along the school members to provide each other support and help overcoming the problems.
