Abstract

This research will discuss how regional economic integration affect nationaldevelopment in Rwanda. The purpose of this study is to explainhow regime affectit‟s member states. In reviewing this research will use regime theory by RobrtKeohane (2005), which explains how a Regime has the power to enforce it‟s valueto handle certain problems called „Political Market Failure‟, which hinderbeneficial cooporation between states. The results of this study indicate thatRwanda‟s national Economic Development were affected by the implementationof the Common Market policy, as it opens the door for Rwanda to a greatereconomic development and opporturnities in the East African region.
