Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of gone theory (greed, opportunity, need, and disclosure) and religiosity on academic cheating. This study also uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 100 respondents. Furthermore, the instruments used in this research are online questionnaires and literature study. The update in this research is the incorporation of gone theory and religiosity in influencing academic cheating. Analysis of the data used in this study is SPSS. The results showed that: 1) greed 2) opportunity 3) need 4) disclosure had a positive effect on academic cheating. Furthermore, 5) religiosity has a negative effect on academic cheating
