Abstract

Nitrogen fertilizer is one of the macro fertilizers that’s important for the growth of corn plant, but fertilizers often lose asa result of washed by rainwater, dentification, and volatility, so innovation is needed. Improvements in fertilizer efficiency can be made by making the n fertilizer into a slower (slow release allowed) form. The modified NZEO-SRPlus fertilizer is expected to increase the efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer. The purpose of this study is 1) knowing the best doses of NZEO-SRPlus fertilizer to support the growth and production of the crystal corn plant, 2) knowing the best NZEO-SRPlus fertilizer produced to support the growth and production of the crystal corn plant, 3) knowing the impact of the interaction between dosage and time that the NZEO-SRPlus fertilizer on the growth of plants and the production of crystal corn. The study adopted vectorial trials 5 x 2 by using Completely Randomized Block Design (RCBD). First factor is a dose of NZEO-SRPlus (D) fertilizer with 5 ceds which is D0 (control), D1 (dose 250 kg/ha NZEO-SRPlus or 50 kg N/ha), D2 (dose 500 kg/ha NZEO-SRPlus or 100 kg N/ha), D3 (dose 750 kg/ha NZEO-SRPlus or 150 kg N/ha), D4 (dose 1.000 kg/ha NZEO-SRPlus or 200 kg N/ha), The second factor of fertilizing time (W) are W1 (gift 100% at 5 day after planting), and W2 (gift 50% at 5 day after planting and 50% at 30 day after planting). The study variable observed in this study is the height of the plant (cm), the number of leaves, the diameter of the stem (cm), the leaf area (cm2), the flowering age (the day after planting), harvest age (the day after planting) the number of crop ears (fruits), the dry weight of the cob (g), and the diameter of the cob (mm). The results showed that the fertilizer dose of 750 kg/ha NZEO-SRPlus is the best dose to support an increase in leaf number, leaf area, flower age, and dry cob weight per plot. The fertilizer dose of 1,000 kg/ha NZEO-SRPlus is the best dose to support the increase in dry cob weight of the crop. The best time to apply NZEO-SRPlus fertilizer in supporting the increase in the number of leaves and the number of cobs planted was 50% when the corn was 5 days old and 50% was 30 days old. The combination of treatment between 750 kg/ha and time of application of 100% NZEO-SRPlus fertilizer at 5 days after planting was the best combination to support plant height. The combination of treatment between 750 kg/ha and time of application of 50% NZEO-SRPlus fertilizer at 5 days after planting and 50% at 30 days after planting was the best combination to support the growth of stem diameter. The combination of treatment between 1.000 kg/ha and time of application of 100% NZEO-SRPlus fertilizer at 5 days after planting was the best combination to support the production of cob diameter.
