Nuurfath, Fatiha. 2022. English Verb Acquisition of the Third Grade Student of Sabilul Huda Islamic Primary School while Online Schools. Thesis. English Literature Study Program. English Department. Faculty of Humanities. Jenderal Soedirman University. Purwokerto. Supervisor 1: Ika Maratus Sholihah, S.S., M.A., Supervisor 2: Usep Muttaqin, S.Hum., M.A., External Examiner: Dr. Chusni Hadiati, S.S., M.Hum.This research is entitled English Verb Acquisition of the third-grade student of Sabilul Huda Islamic Primary School while Online Schools. This study aims to analyze the kinds of English verbs acquired by third-grade students and the process of how third-grade students acquire English verbs when online schooling. The theories applied in this research are kinds of verbs by Ne'Matullayevna et al. (2020) and second language acquisition by Krashen (1982). This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The data in this study are thirteen sentence forms acquired by third-grade students while online schools. The results of this study are eight transitive verbs, three intransitive verbs, and two phrasal verbs. Then, the analysis results of acquiring English verbs through two systems: the acquisition system and the learning system. As a suggestion, similar research can apply other exciting objects and other theories regarding the way of acquiring a second language.
