Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan judul “Pengaruh Siklus Hidup Perusahaan Terhadap Struktur Modal Perusahaan Sektor Barang Konsumsi”. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh siklus hidup perusahaan (Introduction, Growth, Mature) terhadap struktur modal dengan profitabilitas, likuiditas, ukuran perusahaan, growth opportunities, non-debt tax shield, dan fixed tangible asset sebagai variabel kontrol pada Perusahaan Sektor Barang Konsumsi di BEI tahun 2016-2020. Penelitian ini mengacu pada penelitian Dickinson (2011) untuk mengukur tahap hidup perusahaan yaitu cash flow pattern dan debt equity ratio untuk mengukur tingkat struktur modal. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis regresi data panel dengan model estimasi fixed effect model. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa: 1) Siklus hidup perusahaan tahap introduction tidak berpengaruh terhadap struktur modal. 2) Siklus hidup tahap growth berpengaruh positif terhadap struktur modal. 3) Siklus hidup perusahaan tahap mature berpengaruh negatif terhadap struktur modal. Implikasi dari penelitian ini yaitu perusahaan, manager investasi, dan investor diharapkan mengetahui tahap siklus hidup di setiap perusahaannya agar lebih bijak dalam mengambil keputusan berinvestasi serta mengetahui tingkatan leverage pada setiap tahap hidup perusahaannya.
