Abstract

Rape can happen to anyone, not only adult women but including underage girls. One type of rape is incest rape, namely rape committed by a family member or relative. Incest rape indicates family dysfunction. A family is no longer a place for giving affection and protection, but a safe locus for perpetrators of incest rape. This study used a quantitative approach with content analysis method with a total of 84 cases studied. The unit of analysis and research object is all news related to incest rape published in the 2019-2021 range on online news kompas.com. The stages of analysis are collecting data, coding data, managing data, managing data with SPPS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) which is presented with distribution tables and cross tables to describe the tendency of data mode. The results showed that the perpetrators of incest rape were dominated by biological fathers. The age of the victims was dominated by the age range of 13-17 years and the age of the perpetrators. Apart from that, the marital status of the perpetrators was that most of them were married and lived at home with their wife. The occupation of the perpetrators is dominated as laborers and private employees. This research also found a pattern of incidents of rape which were generally carried out by making nonverbal threats such as beatings and threats with weapons, where rapes were generally carried out at the victim's house. Rape is also generally done repeatedly, even for years. The reporting party was dominated by the victim's mother.
