Abstract
This paper aims to desribe the main issue of public service governance in the regional borders, and to analyze the public services in the regional borders in governance framework. One of priority agendas that included in the Jokowi-JK Nawacita, is to build Indonesia from the periphery by strengthening regional and village development under the unitary state framework. Building Indonesia from the periphery is designed through a good public service delivery for the people of Indonesia. Public service is a basic service that the local government should provide for its people. But the government’s limitation of facilities and budgets often become a main reason for the absence of a good public service delivery for the local community. The other issue is a wider range of control of the local government, so it has some difficulties to reach all people,to maintenance it territorial coverage as well as the limitation of human resources. It has a direct consequence that all government services, that should be handled and becomes a local government authorities, is not delivered well because of these challenges.
