Abstract

Siwarak Village in Karangreja Sub-district, Purbalingga Regency, has superior pineapple potential and contributes to Purbalingga's pineapple production. The majority of the villagers depend on pineapple farming for their livelihood. The large potential of pineapple farming does not indicate a high level of welfare for pineapple farmers in Siwarak Village. Pineapple farmers still earn uncertain profits from their pineapple farms. This is due to poor farm business planning and other factors that influence it. The data used in the study is primary. The population in this study were pineapple farmers in Siwarak Village. The sample in this study was determined through the Taro Yamane sample 88 respondents divided into each farmer group. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression and elasticity test. The results showed that land area, labor, and seeds have a positive effect on the income of pineapple farmers in Siwarak Village because pineapple farming in Siwarak Village is conventional agriculture so it depends on agricultural production factors. Fertilizer has a negative effect on the income of pineapple farmers, this is due to the unbalanced composition of fertilizer use in pineapple farming. Farming experience and land ownership status have no effect on the income of pineapple farmers in Siwarak Village, this is because pineapple farmers in Siwarak Village have the same opportunity and commitment in developing their pineapple farms. Land size is the factor that most influences the income of pineapple farmers in Siwarak Village. The implication of this study is that pineapple farming in Siwarak Village still depends on agricultural production factors. To streamline pineapple farming, farmers should use more sophisticated agricultural machinery or technology, the method of planting stem cuttings or crown leaf cuttings, and the provision of subsidies for chemical fertilizers by the government.
