Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of independence, competence, and professionalism on the performance of the government internal auditors. This research was conducted at the Inspectorate of Banjarnegara Regency, Inspectorate of Purbalingga Regency, Inspectorate of Banyumas Regency, and Inspectorate of Cilacap Regency with a sample of 112 people. The data collection method used is a questionnaire. While the data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study state that independence has no effect on the performance of the government's internal auditors. Meanwhile, ompetence and professionalism has a positive effect on the performance of the government internal auditors.
