Abstract

In the industrial era 4.0, economic strength is very important for a country. One of them is export performance, which is the key to the economy. At this time, people's lifestyles have changed greatly. People now always follow the latest trends such as styles in fashion. This fashion is very diverse, such as clothes, pants, shoes and so on. Indonesia is one of the largest producers of shoes. The shoe industry is developing quite rapidly, even shoe products dominate the global market. From the competition for fashion products such as competitive shoe products, especially ASEAN countries, this is a concern for researchers to examine what factors can affect the value of shoe exports from ASEAN countries. This study aims to examine the effect of Gross Domestic Product, the price of raw rubber raw materials, and the Global Competitive Index on the value of shoe exports in ASEAN countries. The data used is secondary data obtained from various sources. The analytical tool used is panel data regression analysis with the Common Effect Model using the classical assumption test, F test and t test. The results of the study together Gross Domestic Product, the price of raw rubber raw materials and the Global Competitive Index have a significant effect on the value of shoe exports in ASEAN countries. Then, Gross Domestic Product has a significant positive effect on the shoe export value of ASEAN countries, while other variables have no significant effect on the shoe export value of ASEAN countries. The implication of the above conclusion is the need for government supervision and regulation and various parties to ensure the quality of exported shoe products in order to increase the value of shoe exports.
