Abstract

background: various changes will occur when the individual enters the elderly, both physical, psychic, as well as social. therefore, the eldery integrated health post should be held. the study aims to analyse the factors affecting the behavior of elderly exercise based on the theory of reasoned action. research methods: this research use quanitative analytical research with cross sectional methods. the sampling technique uses total sampling, namely as many as 92 elderly who participated in the posyandu in the elderly ngudi utama village in kembangan, bukateja sub-district. data is collected using a questionnaire about adaptation of theory of reasoned action. data analysis using chi square test. results: the results showed that most of the respondents (54.3%) active in following elderly exercise activities. the majority of respondents showed a high level of behavioral beliefs (73.8%), a large evaluation outcome (62.0%) and normative beliefs high (62.0%). however, most of the respondents showed motivation to comply on moderate levels. there is a significant link to behavioral beliefs factors, outcome evaluation, normative beliefs and motivation to comply with elderly exercise behaviors (p = 0,004, p = 0,008, p = 0.000, p = 0.001). conclusions: behavioral factors beliefs, outcome evaluations, normative beliefs and motivation to comply have a significant relationship with the behavior of elderly exercise at the elderly integrated health post ngudi utama in kembangan village.
