Abstract
Java Island is the center of national industry and the largest source of growth in Java, one of which is the manufacturing industry. The manufacturing industry sector is the most important sector in the national economy. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the factors that affect the output of the manufacturing sector in six provinces in Java Island during the period 2013 to 2022. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of investment, labor, and infrastructure on the output of the manufacturing sector in six provinces in Java. This study used secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Central Statistics Agency Publications, and Books in Numbers. Analysis techniques used Regression Data Panel. The results of this study show that investment variables have a positive and significant influence on the output of the manufacturing sector, labor variables also have a positive and significant influence on the output of the manufacturing sector, and infrastructure variables have no influence on the manufacturing sector. The implication of this research is to maintain economic stability, in this case by increasing output from industrial sectors, especially those that have an important contribution to economic growth such as the manufacturing sector. The government is expected to create a conducive investment climate, improve the quality of human resources and equitable distribution of infrastructure development so as to increase industrial productivity.
