Abstract
Utilization of yard land is one of the strategic options to increase household food supply. Utilization of yard land is one of the strategic choices to increase household food supply. The purpose of this study was to determine The effect of extention using audiovisual media on the knowledge of kelompok wanita tani in utilizing yards in Sigaluh District Banjarnegara Regency. The research was conducted in July - August 2024. Involving 30 KWT from 15 villages with the number of samples in the intervention group 268 and control 268. The results showed that good perception was found in the intervention group as many as 191 (71.3%).In the intervention group that used video media, the average knowledge increased from 60.99 to 79.40, indicating that video media is very effective in strengthening the understanding of KWT members by presenting information visually and auditory.The control group that used the lecture method also experienced an increase in knowledge from 53.09 to 69.52, although not as high as the intervention group, which still shows that the lecture method is effective and serves as a relevant traditional approach.The results showed that there was a significant increase in knowledge among members of the Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Sigaluh Subdistrict after receiving intervention through both video media and lecture method, with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05).Suggestions for KWT members are to actively participate in the counseling sessions held, in order to strengthen the knowledge that has been obtained. For extension workers, it is important to adapt the materials to the local context and routinely evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention through feedback from participants.
