Abstract

Banyumas Regency has abundant potential resources to increase regional revenue, especially in the tourism sector. However, tourism revenue is still not maximized compared to other regencies such as Purbalingga, Cilacap, and Banjarnegara. This tourism sector is supported by various facilities such as the number of hotels, the number of tourism objects. These facilities can increase the number of tourists visiting the tourism objects and increase regional revenue in the tourism sector through hotel taxes, restaurant taxes, entertainment taxes and tourism levies. Based on this, this study aims to analyze the effect of the number of visitors to tourism objects owned by the government (TV), the number of star hotels (SH), and the number of tourism objects owned by the government (TO) on Regional Revenue from the Tourism Sector in Banyumas Regency in 2009-2023. The research method used is multiple linear regression analysis with secondary data. The results of the analysis show that the number of visitors to tourism objects owned by the government (TV) had no significant effect on the regional revenue from the Tourism Sector in Banyumas Regency in 2009-2023. On the other hand, the number of star hotels (SH) and the number of tourism objects owned by the government (TO) positively and significantly affected regional revenue from the tourism sector in Banyumas Regency in 2009-2023. Simultaneously, there is an influence between the number of visitors to tourism objects owned by the government, the number of star-rated hotels, and the number of tourism objects owned by the government on the Regional Revenue of the Tourism sector in Banyumas Regency in 2009-2023. This study's implications show that to increase local revenue from the tourism sector, it is necessary to develop star hotel accommodation facilities and the quality of tourism objects. In addition, promotional strategies should also be improved to attract more tourists. With these measures, the tourism sector is expected to make a greater contribution to the economy of Banyumas Regency.
