Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic and environmental impacts of waste recycling management based on the circular economy at TPST Kedungrandu, Banyumas Regency. In this research, the author examines the application of circular economy principles in waste management and how this system contributes to the economic improvement of the local community as well as the reduction of environmental impacts. The research uses a quantitative approach with primary data analysis obtained through interviews, direct observations, and documentation studies at TPST Kedungrandu. Secondary data were also used to enrich the analysis. This study measures variables such as the increase in community income, resource efficiency, and the reduction of waste volume disposed of at landfills. The results of the research show that the implementation of the waste recycling system based on the circular economy has a positive impact on the increase in local community income, the reduction of waste sent to landfills, and a decrease in carbon emissions. The system has also created new job opportunities, raised public awareness about the importance of waste management, and encouraged the production of recycled products with economic value. Furthermore, environmental impacts have been reduced, with more efficient and environmentally friendly resource management. This research is expected to provide insights for local governments, TPST managers, and the wider community on the importance of applying the circular viii economy in waste management, which not only offers economic benefits but also helps preserve the environment.
