Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors of production and efficiency of sweet orange production in a technical, allocative and economic in sweet orangefarms in Karangcengis Village, Bukateja Sub-District, Purbalingga Regency. Thesnowball sampling method was used to collect 37 sweet orange farmers in thestudy area. Data were analyzed with the Cobb Douglass production functionmodel. The results showed that land area, chemical fertilizer, and pesticides has apositive and significant effect, while plants and labor has a negative andsignificant effect on sweet orange production. Then the level of the technical,allocative and economic efficiencies of sweet orange farming were not efficient. This indicates that sweet orange farmers in Karangcengis Village has not beenoptimally allocate the use of input.
