Abstract
This Research has title “Analysis of Income Inequality AmongRegencies/City in Bali Province”. Research Method used in this research isquantitative research with secondary data. This study aims to determine the levelof inequality and the trend of inequality between regencies / cities in Bali basedon the Williamson Index, and to find out whether the inverted u kuznet curveapplies in Bali or not.The data used in this research are Gross Domestic RegionalProduct (GDRP), Economic Growth Rate, Total Population and GDRP per capitaof constant price from years 2012-2017. As the results of value Williamson index, inequality income in BaliProvince in 2012-2017 has decreased so does economic growth, so interverted ucurve have relationship between income inequality and economic growth appliedin Bali Province. The result showed that tourism sector in Bali have qualified todecreasing the rate of inequality distribution income. Economic growth continuesto decline because of the tourism sector, there is an unbalanced in profits gainedbetween capital owners and higher upper class workers compared to lower classworkers. Uneven distribution that hasn’t equal in some points tourism destinationalso makes inequality in enjoying and benefits of economics from tourismactivities which causes of declining the economic growth The implication from this research are government can also develop thenew economic sector potential to be developed, to increase the performance ofhousehold consumption, government consumption and investment as a force forBali's economic performance.In order to keep the income in low quality,government could focus on education participation from the secondary school totertiary education, strengthen labor market policies and institutions.
