Abstract

This research entitled “Determinants of Tertiary Sector Investment in Java Island 2010-2021”. Tertiary Sector investment in Java Island has shown a significant upward trend over the past decade, yet its distribution remains uneven across provinces and is still influenced by various macroeconomic factors. Considering the various potensials available to encourage the investment climate, the government and private sector continuously to stive to enhance economic growth through the organized mobilization of funds directed towards investment in the tertiary sectors. This study aims to analyze the effects of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), total labor force, inflation rate, and investment credit interest rate interest rate on tertiary sector investment in Java Island during the 2010–2021 period. The analytical method employed is multiple linear regression with a time series approach, and data processing was conducted using E-Views software. The results reveal that GRDP have a positive and significant effects on tertiary sector investment, whereas total labor force, inflation rate and investment credit interest rates do not show significant effects. These findings indicate that regional economic growth are the primary drivers of tertiary investment in Java Island, while price stability and investment borrowing costs have yet to become major considerations for investors.
