Abstract
Penelitian dengan judul "Peran USAID's Democracy Assistance dalam Deepening Democracy di Indonesia Melalui Program Democratic and Decentralized Governance (DDG) Tahun 2005-2009" membahas mengenai bagaimana peran USAID melalui program DDG dalam rangka deepening democracy di Indonesia. Penelitian ini juga membahas mengenai pencapaina program DDG yang dijalankan pada tahun 2005-2009 yang ditandangani oleh USAID dengan BAPPENAS dan berada dalam kerangka rencana jangka panjang pembangunan politik Indonesia yang diinginkan yakni mendukung terwujudnya demokrasi yang terkonsolidasi. Democracy assistance USAID melalui program DDG memberikan peran positif terhadap kemajuan demokrasi di Indonesia. Dukungan USAID dalam deepening democracy melalui program DDG berhasil membawa negara Indonesia mencapai demokrasi yang terkonsolidasi. Walaupun secara keseluruhan dinilai efektif, namun dalam pelaksanaan dan pencapaian program masih ada hambatan yang ditemui.
