Abstract
This research entitled ’’Revenue and Efficiency of Use Production Factors of Probiotic and Non-Probiotic Broiler Breeders in Banyumas Regency Sumbang Subdistrict”. This type of the research is descriptive research with method is a survey method. The study was conducted in Sumbang Subdistrict Banyumas Regency. The business of broiler chicken is a business that much in demand by the community. This is due in reason that capital turnover rate in broiler business rapidly. In addition, Central Java Province is in the top 5 as a province producing broiler chicken meat. Sumbang Subdistrict of Banyumas Regency has the largest population of broiler chickens. The use of antibiotics in the input of chicken farm production is not recommended in the farm. Therefore there should be a substitute substance that can replace the antibiotic which commonly called probiotics. The production function model that used in this research is the CobbDouglas production function model that can explain the condition of broiler chicken business both probiotic breeders and non probiotic breeders. The result of regression analysis both probiotic and non-probiotic, DOC, feed and vitamin variables influence positively significantly toward production, while the variable of labor and heating did not influence significantly positively toward broiler production both probiotic and non-probiotic. Then, the analysis of allocative efficiency shows that in probiotic broiler breeders, variables of DOC, labor, heating and vitamins have been efficient. While the variable feed on probiotic broiler breeders has not been efficient. In non-probiotic breeders, variables of DOC, labor and heating has already efficient, while variable feed and vitamins still not efficient. Then T-test results shows that the average of production in probiotic broiler chicken is bigger than the production of nonprobiotic. The average production per-tail that received by probiotic breeders is 1.68 kg, while for non-probiotic breeders is 1.52 kg. This means that broiler chicken probiotics can produce heavier meat than non-probiotics. The result of R / C ratio on non-probiotic broiler chicken production is 1.13 and R/C ratio on probiotic broiler chicken equal to 1.15, which means the business of broiler both probiotic and non-probiotic have profitable. It can be concluded that livestock business activities conducted by probiotic breeders gain greater acceptance than non-probiotic breeders.
