Abstract
The agricultural sector has various problems, one of which is crop disease caused by fungal plant patogen Fusarium oxysporum, Sclerotium rolfsii and Rhizoctonia solani. Control of growth of plant pathogenic fungi biologically can be done using antagonist microorganisms, processed using Actinomycetes. Actinomycetes, a group of highly intensive microorganisms due to its antimicrobial compounds, possesses high diversity in the soil and performs major functions as decomposers and bioactive components. Aktinomisetes from Segara Anakan mangrove environment has not known its ability to inhibit plant patogenic fungi. The purpose of this research is to select Actinomycetes isolate from mangrove rhizosphere that able to inhibit growth of plant patogen fungi, to know the ability of antifungi compound, and to know the characteristic of antifungal compound produced. The research was conducted by survey method and analyzed descriptively. The parameters observed were, percent of the isolates were Actinomycetes isolates against the fungi, Rf antifungal compound, dry weight of biomass and pH of culture medium. The result of this research was found Actinomycetes B-2 SCN 4 that capable of inhibiting the test fungi that was screened from of 15 isolates. Isolate has a percentage of inhibition against F. oxysporum, R. solani and S. rolfsii respectively of 70.06; 51.6 and 0% in the antagonistic test. The culture filtrate had no inhibition activity, while the culture extract exhibited inhibitions 54.6% against to F.oxysporum, 46.4% against to R. solani and 43.2% to S.rolfsii. The result of antifungal compound characterization using thin layer chromatography method obtained three fractions with Rf values of 0.60; 0.68 and 0.93.
