Abstract
Background: Students majoring in nursing receive a teaching curriculum on caring that covers physical, emotional, sociocultural and spiritual aspects. This is what distinguishes students from non-health majors. This study aims to determine differences in caring behavior in students majoring in nursing and non-health majors in Unsoed. Methodology: This study used a cross sectional design. The technique sample used accidential sampling with a total sample is 154 respondents divided into two groups of participants. Data retrieval of caring behavior using the Caring Behaviors Inventory (CBI) instrument. Hypothesis testing using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test. Results: The results showed that caring behavior in the group of participants majoring in nursing showed good results (59.7%) and the group of participants in non-health majors showed sufficient results (61.0%). In addition, the results of the analysis obtained the significance value of caring behavior between students majoring in nursing and students of non-health Unsoed majors at p = 0.023 (p <0.05). Conclusion: Between students majoring in nursing and students of non-health majors Unsoed, have a significant differences in caring behavior
