Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence fuel consumption in Karangklesem housing. The variables in this study are household income, number of household vehicles, number of family members, and the type of work dummy variable. The type of research used is a mixed method, namely a combination of quantitative and qualitative with a case study approach that discusses the fuel consumption of the population in Karangklesem housing. The population in this study were residents of Karangklesem housing. The random sampling technique was used as the sampling method in this study. This study uses multiple regression analysis techniques. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that household income and the dummy variable of occupation have a significant effect on fuel consumption in Karangklesem housing, while the number of household vehicles and the number of family members have no significant effect on fuel consumption in Karangklesem housing. The implication of this research is that it is recommended for residents in high-income Karangklesem housing to use public transportation to reduce fuel consumption and for the type of civil servant work in the future for the government to provide electric cars to replace oil-fueled cars for each civil servant office in order to reduce fuel consumption.
