Abstract
The title of this research is the factors that influence the demand for citytransportation services (Case Study Purwokerto City Transportation). This study aimsto analyze the influence of several factors such as income, Tariff, frequency of use ofother transportation, education and ownership of private vehicles on the demand forcity transportation and to analyze variables together on the demand for citytransportation. To analyze the influence of income, tariffs, frequency of use of othertransportation, education and ownership of private vehicles on the demand for citytransportation, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis is used and to analyze thevariables together using the F test. The data used in this study are primary data takenfrom 100 respondents in Purwokerto city transportation. The variables of income have a positive effect on demand city transportationPurwokerto, variables Tariff and frequency of use other transportation have asignificant negative effect on the demand for city transportation in Purwokerto.Meanwhile the education variable does not affect the demand for city transportationin Purwokerto.Based on the results of the F test, variables income, tariffs, frequencyof use other transportation, education and ownership of personal vehiclessimultaneously affect the demand for city transportation in Purwokerto. Koperasiangkutan kota (Kopata) and other parties who have authority over city transportationalso need to improve the quality and comfort of city transportation because based onthe survey results passengers complain that city transportation is uncomfortable andin bad condition.
