Abstract

The development of technology and lifestyle today supports changes in various fields, especially in the field of kilogram laundry services. Kilogram laundry services as one of the alternative services used by college students in times of busy activities to wash clothes everyday. Grendeng Urban Village is one of the villages that have the best public campus, it causes many college studentss arrive. Therefore, consumer demand in terms of meeting the needs of college studentss is also increasing, such as laundry services. This research is a study with quantitative methods and has the aim to analyze determinant of demand for laundry services in Grendeng Village, North Purwokerto Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency. The variables used in the research were laundry price, consumer income, and consumer tastes. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis using primary data collected through questionnaires in the form of google forms. Based on the analysis conducted with the SPSS application obtained the results of this research, namely: (1) laundry price has a positive effect not significantly on the demand for laundry services, (2) consumer income has a significant positive effect on the demand for laundry services, (3) consumer tastes negatively affects not significantly on the demand for laundry services. The implication of the above conclusion is that only consumer income variables have a significant effect on the demand for laundry services. This can be used as information for laundry service providers to run and strategies in improving the quality of laundry services in promoting laundry services more to students among the upper class because of higher consumer income and higher lifestyles that cause high demand, especially in the demand for laundry services.
