Abstract

CV Anugrah Jaya Sejahtera is an automotive manufacturing industry that produces cutting steel pipe as one of its products. The current layout on the cutting steel pipe production floor has far-apart areas between processes, resulting in lengthy material transfer distances. Another issue is the company's desire to increase its target by knowing the number of machine requirements that must be used. Based on these issues, the purpose of this study is to design a proposed layout of facilities on the cutting steel pipe production floor in order to minimize the distance and moment of material movement and to calculate the number of machine requirements needed to meet the company's expected production targets. The proposed facility layout design is also influenced by the increased number of machine requirements. The Systematic Layout Planning method is used as a design stage in this study, and the BLOCPLAN algorithm is used to generate alternative layouts. The displacement distance difference between the initial facility layout and the proposed layout was 37.32 m, with a material displacement distance efficiency of 25.18%, and the displacement moment difference was 3360.6 m / month, with a material displacement moment efficiency of 17.7%.
