Abstract

Banking in Indonesia adheres to two transaction systems known as the dual banking system, namely conventional banks and Islamic banks. It is the same with mortgages, which are divided into conventional mortgages and sharia mortgages. From this, it can be seen that there are two different preferences from the public, and give rise to different societal inclinations, namely conventional banking mortgages and Islamic banking.Therefore, this study aims to analyze whether the factors of property values, religiosity, procedures, promotions influence people's preferences in choosing conventional and sharia mortgage financing in Purwokerto. The sample in this research is the people in Purwokerto, especially the people who are interested in KPR. The method used is descriptive quantitative random sampling method. The analytical method used is logistic regression. The results of this study indicate that property value has no effect on people's preferences in choosing sharia mortgage financing in Purwokerto, religiosity has a significant effect on people's preferences in choosing sharia mortgage financing in Purwokerto, procedures have a significant effect on people's preferences in choosing sharia mortgage financing in Purwokerto, and promotion have a significant effect on people's preferences in choosing sharia mortgage financing in Purwokerto. The implication of this research is that this research has not covered all the factors that influence people's preferences in choosing mortgage financing, so future researchers are expected to add other variables in order to produce more complete and in-depth research.
