Abstract
Pola asuh merupakan hal penting keluarga yang mendasari proses perkembangan seorang anak meliputi sisi kemampuan kognitif atau intelektual, cerdas spiritual, dan cerdas eksistensial. Pola asuh yang diterapkan orang tua cenderung berbeda,hal ini didasarkan oleh faktor ekonomi, pendidikan, hingga nilai sumber budaya yang dianut oleh orang tua tersebut. Realitas ini, sering digambarkan dengan sangat bervariasi melalui media massa, salah satunya yaitu film. Salah satu film drama Korea yang merepresentasikan parenting ini adalah serial yang berjudul The Good Bad Mother. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitiatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana representasi pola asuh orang tua pada serial The Good Bad Mother dengan menggunakan semiotika Roland Barthes dan Intertekstualitas. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa film serial The Good Bad Mother dapat merepresentasikan pola asuh antara tokoh orang tua dengan anak yang berbeda, dimana terdapat dua pola asuh yang digunakan yaitu pola asuh otoriter dan pola asuh demokratis.
