Abstract

Background : Adolescence is a period of growth and transition with high curiosity. The period of puberty will affect the perspective of adolescent reproductive health thinking and actions. However, when adolescents knowless about puberty and physical changes during puberty can affect adolescent behavior when facing puberty. Methodology : Descriptive quantitative research, conducted at 3rd Gegesik Junior High School, Cirebon Regency, West Java Province. The sampling technique that used in this study is Systematic Random Sampling within 84 respondents. Research Result : The majority of respondents 13 years of age with a standard deviation of 0.757 and knowledge of the puberty sources from schools 56 adolescents (66.7%). On the source of knowledge the puberty, the internet and others have the same frequency of 10 teenage boys (11.9%). Respondents had good knowledge 31 (36.9%), Moderate knowledge with 27 teenagers (32.1%) and Poor knowledge with 26 (31.0%). 25 adolescent males with positive attitudes (29.8%) and 59 male adolescents with negative attitudes (70.2%). Conclusion : Adolescent males already have good knowledge, but most adolescents still have negative attitudes.
