Abstract

This report entitled “Making a Digital Art Booklet in English at Dinas Pemuda, Olahraga, Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Banyumas” and is based on the job training carried out at Dinporabudpar Kabupaten Banyumas from June 05th,2023 – July 05th,2023. Dinporabudpar is a government instituition that oversees several fields and one of them is the field of culture. The purposes of the job training are to make Banyumas digital arts booklet in English, to introduce Banyumas arts to the public, not only local people but also foreign tourists and to explain these arts in the form of writing and pictures so that readers can understand the booklet better and will be interested when reading it. There are three methods used in carrying out this job training, namely observation, documentation and interview. Observation was conducted in the first week by surveying at the Dinporabudpar office to obtain valid data about arts in Banyumas. Documentation was done by collecting data from Dinporabudpar to writing definitions of existing arts and collecting pictures about arts in Banyumas for the contents of the booklet. Interview was done by asking several questions about Banyumas arts with staff at Dinporabudpar and one of the artistic actors in arts activities shadow puppet performances. The product resulted from implementation of this job training is a Banyumas digital art booklet in English. There are several steps in the process of making digital booklet, namely needs analysis, data identification and collection, booklet design process, changing the booklet design into an e-booklet, e-booklet testing, and collecting e-booklet results. There were obstacles in the process of producing digital booklet, namely translating descriptive text into English and editing process due to limitations in supporting applications and device. By consulting with supervisor, help from Dinporabudpar staff and author brother, these obstacles can be resolved.
