Abstract

This job training report was written in response to the problem of rare art tourism in Kabupaten Banyumas. Based on the problem, this job training aims to create a bilingual illustrated storybook (Indonesian and English) describing and introducing rare art tourism in Kabupaten Banyumas. This illustrated storybook introduces rare art tourism: Buncisan, Gondolio, Bongkel, Gumbeng, and Kerinding. This job training uses four methods: observation, interviews, documentation, and direct practice. The observations were carried out directly and indirectly to find problems arranging art tourism in Kabupaten Banyumas; whereas the interviews were intended to discuss the potential, condition and development, problems, and expected solutions to introduce and promoting art tourism in Kabupaten Banyumas. Based on the observations and interviews, the documentation was collected using the sources owned by the Cultural Division of Dinporabudpar Kabupaten Banyumas. However, in making the illustrated storybook, direct practice with the writing process was done in five stages: prewriting, drafting, editing, revising, and publishing. During the job training, several obstacles were experienced, such as the lack of references to similar products, the limited time and data sources needed, and the inability to create scenarios and illustrations. However, these problems can be overcome by collecting additional data independently through the internet, documentation, and others. In addition, the Cultural Division of Dinporabudpar Kabupaten Banyumas and an illustrator were also involved in creating this illustrated storybook.
