Abstract

This job training report is entitled, “Creating a Bilingual E-Booklet to Guide Public Relation Officers at Leaders.ID”. This job training report was written by the writer who experienced the job training as a Public Relation Officer (PR Officer) at Leaders.ID from July 27th until October 28th, 2024. The intention of the job training as a PR Officer are to gain experience in the public relations field, to create a medium to help the challenges faced by the future PR Officer such as lack of guideline and resources, which is a reason to made e-booklet, and to complete the customary requirements to graduate from the English Diploma Program. Creating the e-booklet involved three methods: observing relevant information, conducting interviews, and applying the ADDIE model. The observation phase included gathering written details on events, dan negotiation processes. Next, interviews were conducted with the coordinator and PR Officer at Leaders.ID to identify issues and determine the necessary solutions. Finally, the hands-on learning with ADDIE model, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation was implemented. This process began with collecting data from these three methods, consulting with experts, supervisors, and examiners, before submitting the findings to the company, ensuring the effective development of the e-booklet. During the creation of the e-booklet, the writer faced several challenges. There was limited information available online about booklets specifically for the public relations field, and the writer had to deal with restrictions on using photos because Leaders.ID did not allow them. The cover design initially did not fit well with the PR field, and the layout was somewhat plain and monotone. To overcome these issues, the writer researched journals about booklets and applied the findings to the PR context. Since photos were not permitted, the writer added 3D vectors that matched the public relations theme on the cover. The writer also reviewed many booklet templates to improve the layout, making the e-booklet more functional and visually appealing. After revising, the writer hopes the e-booklet will help future PR Officers improve their work and perform their tasks more effectively. The e-booklet can be accessed through a QR code and includes guidelines and templates for PR Officers to use anytime and anywhere. The writer’s goal is to ease the workload of PR Officers and help them manage their tasks more quickly and efficiently.
