Abstract

This research is about the economic efficiency of batik SMEs in Sokaraja District. This study takes the title: Economic Efficiency Analysis of Small and Medium Enterprises in Batik (Case Study of Sokaraja Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency).The purpose of this study was to analyze the variables of labor, capital and raw materials into economic efficiency of batik SMEs in Sokaraja District, Banyumas Regency. This study uses quantitative research methods with a descriptive approach. The object in this study is the economic efficiency of batik SMEs in labor, capital and batik raw materials, Sokaraja District, Banyumas Regency. The results of the study based on linear data regression analysis showed that: (a) The average revenue earned by Batik SMEs is Rp21,441,842 in one month and the profit of Batik SMEs is Rp6,246,107 in one month (b) The level of economic efficiency of Batik SMEs in Sokaraja Sub-District Banyumas Regency is 1.41, so that it can be said that the business run by batik enterpreneurs has been efficient. The R/C value is 1.41, meaning that every Batik SMEs cost of Rp1 produces a revenue of Rp1.41 and income of Rp0.41 The implications of the above conclusions are, for Banyumas Batik enterpreneurs, they should maintain their level of efficiency by utilizing the inputs so that batik craftsmen, especially Banyumas Batik craftsmen can increase their income, for the government, batik business is a potential business to be developed, despite the various obstacles faced by batik craftsmen or enterpreneurs. Therefore, the government should provide supports, both in terms of capital or assistance to provide additional knowledge about business management, especially on financial statements to support the development of Banyumas Batik business, to support business marketing, the government should facilitate batik enterpreneurs to participate in various small enterprise exhibition activities or other batik business-related exhibitions. In addition, the government should require the employees of Banyumas Regency government to wear batik as their uniform which is the product of Banyumas Batik enterpreneurs for any government activities and official travel, so that it will introduce Banyumas Batik to wider community as the icon of Banyumas local cultural heritage.
