Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus and hypertension are chronic non-infectious disease that cannot be completely cured, which requires with long-term medical to prevent complication and maintains for quality of life. This reasearch was conducted to determine quality of life DM and HT patients be avowed by the utility value to know the differences based on characteristic at Puskesmas Purwokerto Barat and Purwokerto Selatan. Methode: This research was conducted by cross-sectional method with the subjects of research are DM and HT were prolanis patients. 79 DM patients and 110 HT patients were obtained as subjects taken by accidental sampling technique. Data retrieval done by filling in Indonesian version of EQ-5D-5L questionnaire to measure the quality of life based on characteristic of patients. Result: The average quality of life patients based on utility value is 0,876±0,107 for DM, and 0,881±0,118 for HT based on EQ-5D-5L, whereas based on EQVAS obtained 82,28±13,44 for DM patients, and 81,00±14,68 for HT. Then the difference test based on patients characteristics found a significant difference in DM patients was the characteristic of complications, whereas in HT patients was the characteristic of sex and complications, with the dimension of pain that are a problem in both disease. Conclusion: The quality of life of DM and HT patients for participating in the Chronic Disease Management program (Prolanis) at Puskesmas Purwokerto Barat and Purwokerto Selatan is quite good, which is close 1.
