Abstract

Economic growth is a general indicator for seeing the success of economic development in a country. A country economy is growing when the economic growth rate is high or positive. ASEAN-5 is often referred to as Emerging Asian Economies based on its GDP rise. This study aims to analyze the effect of consumption, FDI, Labor force, and HDI on Economic growth ASEAN-5 countries 2000-2014 period, with the samples of 5 countries namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The data uses secondary data from World Bank, United Nations Development Program and different literature like journals, books Source relates with the research. The analytical method used is regression analysis method Ordinary Least Square (OLS) models with combination on time series and cross section, or called pooled data. The analysis shows that the consumption gives positive and significant influence with 0.504 coefficient on economic growth in ASEAN-5, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) gives positive and significant influence with 4.27 coefficient on economic growth in ASEAN-5, Labor force gives no significant and negative influence with -0.14 coefficient on economic growth in ASEAN-5 and HDI gives positive and significant influence with 19.68 coefficient on economic growth in ASEAN-5.
