Abstract

Serai wangi (Cymbopogon nardus L.) adalah tanaman rumput ekonomis yang menghasilkan minyak astiri dan dapat tumbuh baik di lahan marginal. Bahan organik tanah berperan sebagai perekat untuk membentuk struktur tanah dan penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas lahan. Irigasi, dengan bantuan teknologi seperti sistem irigasi tetes otomatis berbasis waktu, diperlukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman di lahan tersebut.Penelitian sebelumnya yang dilakukan oleh Wijaya et al. (2021) telah melaksanakan penelitian pada lahan marginal dan menggunakan variasi dosis pupuk 15 ton/ha, 25 ton/ha, dan 35 ton/ha, serta menggunakan jadwal irigasi tetes. kemudian dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut menggunakan variasi dosis pupuk lebih besar dan menggunakan sistem irigasi tetes timer. Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk (1) mengidentifikasi pengaruh jadwal irigasi tetes otomatis berbasis waktu terhadap sifat fisik tanah marginal pada budidaya serai wangi di dalam screenhouse. selain itu juga dapat (2) mengidentifikasi pengaruh dosis pupuk organik terhadap sifat fisik tanah pada budidaya serai wangi di dalam screenhouse. dan (3) mengetahui jadwal irigasi tetes otomatis berbasis waktu dan dosis pupuk organik yang efektif (aplikatif) untuk sifat fisik tanah marginal pada budidaya serai wangi di dalam screenhouse. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan lahan marginal jenis tanah ultisol di Laboratorium Agronomi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan sembilan variasi perlakuan yang berbeda. Faktor yang dipertimbangkan dalam penelitian ini adalah variasi dosis pupuk organik (PO) dengan tiga tingkat (PO1 = 500g/m2, PO2 = 1000g/m2, PO3 = 1500g/m2) dan irigasi tetes otomatis berbasis waktu dengan tiga tingkat (SI3 = 3 harian, SI5 = 5 harian, dan SI7 = 7 harian). Variabel yang diamati meliputi kadar air tanah, kepadatan tanah, dan permeabilitas tanah. Data yang dihasilkan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan beberapa uji statistik. Hasil data kemudian dilakukan analisis menggunakan uji Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Uji Kruskal-wallis, dan Uji Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) 5 %. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan sistem irigasi tetes berbasis waktu berpengaruh nyata terhadap perbaikan sifat fisik tanah marginal, dengan perlakuan SI3 sebagai perlakuan terbaik terhadap permeabilitas, kepadatan, dan kadar air tanah. Pada perlakuan dosis pupuk berpengaruh terhadap kepadatan tanah dan permeabilitas. variasi dosis pupuk paling optimal terdapat pada variasi dosis pupuk 1000g/m2. Pada kombinasi perlakuan berpengaruh terhadap permeabilitas tanah, dan kombinasi perlakuan yang paling optimal terdapat pada SI7PO2. Lemongrass (Cymbopogon nardus L.) is an economically important grass plant that produces essential oil and can well develop in marginal lands. Although marginal lands, despite being dry and having limited nutrient content, have the potential for agriculture, they require good management to improve their quality. Soil organic matter acts as a binding agent to form soil structure and is crucial for enhancing land quality. Irrigation, aided by technology such as timed automatic drip irrigation systems, is necessary to increase crop productivity in such lands.Previous research by Wijaya et al. (2021) has investigated marginal lands using varying fertilizer doses of 15 tons/ha, 25 tons/ha, and 35 tons/ha, along with using a drip irrigation schedule. Further research was then conducted using larger fertilizer doses and employing a timed drip irrigation system. The objectives of the research were to (1) identify the influence of timed automatic drip irrigation schedules on the physical properties of marginal soil in lemongrass cultivation within a screenhouse, (2) identify the influence of organic fertilizer doses on soil physical properties in lemongrass cultivation within a screenhouse, and (3) determine the effective (applicable) timed automatic drip irrigation schedule and organic fertilizer dose for the physical properties of marginal soil in lemongrass cultivation within a screenhouse. This research using Ultisol marginal soil type in the Agronomy Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with nine different treatment variations. Factors considered in this research were variations in organic fertilizer doses (PO) with three levels (PO1 = 500g/m2, PO2 = 1000g/m2, PO3 = 1500g/m2) and timed automatic drip irrigation with three levels (SI3 = every 3 days, SI5 = every 5 days, and SI7 = every 7 days). The observed variables included soil moisture content, soil density, and soil permeability. The generated data were then analyzed using several statistical tests. The data results were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Kruskal-Wallis Test, and Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a significance level of 5%. The results of this research indicate that the timed automatic drip irrigation treatment significantly influenced the improvement of physical properties of marginal soil, with the SI3 treatment being the most effective in enhancing permeability, density, and soil moisture content. As for the fertilizer dose treatment (PO), it significantly affected soil density and permeability, with the most optimal fertilizer dose variation being 1000 g/m2. The combination of treatments influenced soil permeability, and the most optimal treatment combination was found in SI7PO2.
