The research entitled “The Role of Women in Rebellion in Collins’ Mockingjay and Roth’s Insurgent” aims to figure out the role of women in rebellion in both novels. Furthermore, it explains whether the role of women in rebellion defies the idea of the stereotype of women, both in everyday life and in combats. The researcher used qualitative method in analyzing the data. The primary data are Collins’ Mockingjay and Roth’s Insurgent. In addition, comparative theory in literature is used to analyze the similarities and differences emerged in both novels, women’s studies is also used to analyze the issue of women, and theory of rebellion is used to explain further about rebellion. The result of this research shows that there are some similarities and differences related to the role of women in rebellion in both novels. Researcher found similarities to the issue in rebellion regarding to leader of rebellion, symbol of rebellion and form of rebellion. In the differences, researcher found The difference in way of fighting in rebellion, acceptance in being leader of rebellion and motivation of rebellion. Additionally, the characters can represent their roles very well and they do not lose any essence of roles given to them. Finally, this research also proves that one’s capability and inability of something is not based on their gender but it is based on the person itself. Penelitian yang berjudul “The Role of Women in Rebellion in Collins’ Mockingjay and Roth’s Insurgent” memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui peran wanita dalam pemberontakan dalam kedua novel. Terlebih lagi, penelitian ini akan menjelaskan apakah peran wanita dalam pemberontakan melawan ide stereotipe wanita dalam kehidupan sehari-hari maupun dalam peperangan. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis data. Data utamanya adalah novel Mockingjay oleh Suzanne Collins dan Insurgent oleh Veronica Roth. Sebagai tambahan, teori komparatif dalam sastra digunakan untuk menganalisis perbedaan dan persamaan yang muncul pada kedua novel, diskusi tentang wanita juga digunakan untuk menganalisis isu wanita dan teori pemberontakan digunakan untuk menjelaskan lebih jauh mengenai pemberontakan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ada beberapa persamaan dan juga perbedaan yang bersangkutan dengan peran wanita di pemberontakan dalam kedua novel tersebut. Peneliti menemui persamaan pada isu tentang pemberontakan yaitu leader of rebellion (pemimpin pemberontakan), symbol of rebellion (simbol pemberontakan) dan form of rebellion (bentuk pemberontakan). Pada perbedaan, peneliti menemukan perbedaan pada way of fighting in rebellion (cara bertarung dalam pemberontakan), acceptance in being leader of rebellion (penerimaan dalam menjadi pemimpin pemberontakan) dan motivation of rebellion (motivasi pemberontakan). Sebagai tambahan, para karakter dapat merepresentasikan peran mereka dengan baik tanpa menghilangkan esensi peran yang telah diberikan kepada mereka. Pada akhirnya, penelitian ini juga membuktikan bahwa kemampuan atau ketidakmampuan seseorang terhadap sesuatu bukanlah berdasarkan oleh gender tetapi berdasarkan orang itu sendiri.
