Abstract

This final report is made based on the results of job training carried out by the author at PT Kereta Api Indonesia DAOP 5 Purwokerto on August 21 - November 30, 2023 in the passenger transportation unit. This report is entitled “Creating English Indonesian Zine for Education Train At PT Kereta Api Indonesia DAOP V Purwokerto”. The purpose of this job training is to create a bilingual English Indonesian train education zine as media for the Edutrain program at the DAOP V Purwokerto office. Zine is one of the alternative print media. This zine is written in two languages, namely Indonesian and English, so that it can be an effective learning media for children who take part in the Edutrain program at DAOP V Purwokerto. In conducting job training, the author used several methods to collect data such as observation, interview, and documentation. These methods were chosen to facilitate the process of writing the final report. the observation method was carried out in the first week when the author started job training, observations were made in the purwokerto station environment. The interview method was carried out as a way for the author to get the data needed, by asking several questions to passengers who participated in edutrain activities. There is also a documentation method by taking pictures or videos during the activity. In implementing the job training, the author faced several challenges, such as in determining the concept that changed several times, selecting the colors and elements used as well as determining the format and layout of the zine. However, all of these challenges were successfully overcome by the author so that the author could complete the final report.
