Abstract

Cooperative is a business entity whose members consist of individuals or groups and have principle of commonship. Currently, the existence of cooperatives is expected to help improve the economy and welfare of society in Indonesia. For that business cooperative process is very important for the purpose of cooperatives can be fulfilled. Financial statements are the easiest component to assess cooperative performance in a year. Cooperatives require the design of accounting information systems to assist in presenting the financial statements of cooperatives to be more effective and efficient. Koperasi Serba Usaha Karyawan UNSOED (KOSUKU) is one example of employee cooperatives located at the Jenderal Soedirman University. One business unit in KOSUKU is a savings and loan business unit. This research uses socio technical system approach in developing accounting information system. Using the participatory action research approach for data collection tools and using data flow diagrams (DFD) to illustrate the proposed business processes in the KOSUKU savings and loan business unit. Based on the result of this research, accounting information system in KOSUKU still need to be conducted and business process development in unit of savings and loan business not yet in accordance with its function. Because the activity is only a loan only.
