Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the level of financial behavior of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Jenderal Soedirman University, batch 2016 - 2019. The variables used in this research are financial socialization, overconfidence, and economic hardship. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis models and Moderated Regression Analysis with a significance level of 5%. The data collection method used in this study is a survey research method with judgment sampling. This study used 335 respondents as a sample of 2070 populations. The results of the research concluded that financial socialization and overconfidence significantly positively affect financial behavior. Then, economic hardship significantly moderates i.e. weakens the effect of overconfidence on financial behavior.
