Abstract

This study aims to analyze affection of the factors of level of education, interest rate, and service quality on the decision to access credit by MSMEs. The population in this study was all Batik MSMEs in Pekalongan. This study used Theory of Decision Making. The research data was obtained directly from respondents through a questionnaire with proportionate stratified random sampling technique and quantitative approaches of Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS). The results of this research indicate that the level of education positive significantly affects the decision to access credit by MSMEs. Interest rate negative significantly affects the decision to access credit by MSMEs. Service quality positive significantly affects the decision to access credit by MSMEs. The implication of this research is that banks are expected to enhance the socialization related to their financial products, especially the credit program for MSMEs and ensure that every MSMEs actors, both those with low education and those with high education, are able to find out the details of banking financial products, especially business credit products. In addition, the government is also expected to pay attention in determining interest rates to be more effective and affordable for MSMEs, and it is expected for banks to improve their service quality so that MSMEs interest in taking credit can be increased.
