Abstract

Purbalingga is a sub-district city which is the administrative center of Purbalingga Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. One of the icons that is the center of Purbalingga City is Purbalingga Square. Aside from being a recreational facility, Purbalingga Square and its surroundings are also a place to find work, one of which is parking workers. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the factors that influence the income of parking workers in Purbalingga Regency. The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of working hours, location, work experience, and parking fees on the income of parking workers in Purbalingga District. The population of this research was 100 parking workers in Purbalingga Square with a radius of 700 meters, all of whom were selected as samples. Data collection techniques using interviews based on questionnaires with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Based on the data analysis, it was found that simultaneously working hours, location, work experience and parking fees have a significant effect on the income of parking workers. Partially working hours, location, and parking fees have a positive effect on the income of parking workers. Work experience has negative effect on the income of parking workers. Then the most dominant variable in influencing the income of parking workers is working hours. The implication of this research is if the parking workers want to increase their income, then the parking workers must increase their working hours, but this is not feasible because it will reduce the income of other parking workers. Therefore, it is better if the parking worker rolls over so that the parking workers can get income from a quiet and crowded location. Parking fees can be adjusted based on the potential for crowded or quiet parking locations.
