Abstract

This job training report is prepared based on the job training carried out on July 17 to September 1, 2023, at the Departement of Communication and Informatics Banyumas or Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Banyumas (Dinkominfo). The government institution was chosen because it aligns with the theme was selected regarding traditional Banyumas dance as one of the smart branding strategies for the Banyumas regency. The regency was chosen as a smart city by SGAC (Smart Green ASEAN City) because Banyumas has utilized technology to manage garbage and turn it into money. When Banyumas was selected as a smart city, the government institution organized a cultural celebration and invited delegates from the Smart Green ASEAN Cities (SGAC) representing various countries. Therefore, Dinkominfo has a role in improving Banyumas’ branding as a smart city. Meanwhile, creating an English e-booklet is needed as a bridge to improve the promotional media of traditional Banyumas dances at the global level. The purpose of this report is to explain the implementation of job training, writing an e-booklet, explaining traditional Banyumas dances in an e-booklet, and the process of making an e-booklet. In making the e-booklet, there are three methods comprising observation, interview and documentation. The observation method was done by visiting Rumah Lengger Banyumas to find out the information about Banyumas traditional dance. Then, some interviews were conducted by asking several questions to the coordinator of Rumah Lengger, Mr. Sirwan, and the Maestro of Lengger dance, Mr. Rianto, about Banyumas traditional dances. Furthermore, the documentation method was collected including photos and videos of traditional dances. The e-booklet on Banyumas traditional dances contains ebeg and lengger dances. The product of this job training report is an e-booklet. There are six stages of creating the e-booklet namely, illustration, text, typography, color, size, and layout. These stages are essential for creating the desired e-booklet design. Then the e-booklet is uploaded on the website of Dinkominfo Banyumas
