Abstract
English is a globally significant language used extensively in education and various other spheres of life. Proficiency in English facilitates knowledge acquisition and active language practice. Consequently, students from all level of education need to learn English. This aimed to find out the digital-based teaching media used by EFL teahers and to explore the EFl teachers’ perspective on digital-based teaching media advancement. This study used multiple case study qualitative method. The data were collected through interview and questionnaire. This research finding was the teachers from different school in Banyumas regency, that used the digital based teaching media to teach English. They focused on using digital-based teaching media for interactive assessment and source of learning media. The data were collected through interview and questionnaire and used thematic analysis to examine the data. The digital based teaching media used by the teacher were videos, e learning platforms, canva, interactive games, smart tv, and also audio recordings. Most teachers satisfied with the use of digital based teaching media. The problem found that teachers encountered were: the selection of their media, appropriateness of the media, feedback from their students, and the media must be interesting. The researcher suggest that the teachers should select media based on instructional objectives, the age group of learners, and the classroom context, furthermore for the students to be more actively encouraged during class activities.
