Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of ethnic culture, level of education, information and communication technology on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) performance. Differences in culture and level of education will affect the differences in mindset, behavior, insight, and skills of a person. Those differences may result in performance differences. Meanwhile, the use of information and communication technology in business can improve the effectiveness of performance and expand market share. The population used in this study is SMEs in the trade sector, located in Banyumas and Cilacap Regencies. Sampling method to select the sample in this research is accidental sampling. Total sample in this study is 47 units. This study uses multiple regression analysis. The results show that ethnic culture, information and communication technology variable have a positive and significant effect on SMEs performance. However, the educational level variable do not significantly affect the performance of SMEs
