Abstract

Title of this research is the effect of employee engagement determinants on employee performance in java heritage hotel. Subject of this research is Java Heritage Hotel Employees. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of determinants of employee engagement to employee performance in creating competitive advantage. This research was conducted in November 2017 at Java Heritage Purwokerto hotel. The population in this study is low and middle level managerial in Java Heritage hotel. The total respondents from this study were 160 respondents and used the questionnaire as the data source. Data analysis using Structural Equation Model. The results of this study concluded that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement (H1) .Training and career development have a positive and significant impact on employee engagement (H2). Compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement (H3). Organizational policies have a positive and significant impact on employee engagement (H4). Employee engagement has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (H5).
