Abstract

This research is survey research on the use of e-wallet applications on Jenderal Soedirman University students. This research takes the title: "Analysis of the Use of E-wallet Application through Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Approach". Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is a research model that aims to determine the acceptance and use of information technology in society. TAM has five variables in its research model, namely perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude toward using, behavioral intention, and actual system use. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect on the TAM variable. The population in this study were active students of Jenderal Soedirman University. The number of respondents taken in this study was 100 respondents. The purposive sampling method is used in determining respondents. Based on the results of research and data analysis using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) on the SmartPLS 4 software, it shows that: (1) Perceived ease of use has a positive effect on the perceived usefulness of using e-wallet applications, (2) Perceived ease of use has no effect on attitude. toward using e-wallet applications, (3) Perceived usefulness has a positive effect on attitude toward using e-wallet applications, (4) Attitude toward using has a positive effect on behavioral intention of using e-wallet applications, and (5) Behavioral intention has a positive effect on actual system use of e-wallet applications. The implication of the conclusion above is that to increase the use of e-wallet applications, e-wallet application publishers should pay attention to various policies related to the perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of e-wallet application users, especially students. Efforts that can be made are to improve the ease of features or services in the e-wallet application completely and following with the needs or expectations of the users.
