Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the role of openness and spirituality in the workplace on deviant behavior in the workplace. Respondents of this study were 66 people who are employees in all South Purwokerto Government Administrative office and domiciled in the city of Purwokerto. This study uses quantitative methods in the form of a survey with a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded: 1) Agreeableness has a positive effect on job satisfaction, 2) Job satisfaction has a negative effect on Employee Deviant Behavior, 3) Workplace Spirituality has no negative effect on Employee Deviant Behavior, 4) Job Satisfaction mediates the effect of openness on Employee Deviant Behavior. The managerial implications of the conclusions in this study are, 1) The results of this study are expected to help related parties and research that will be carried out in the future, 2) The South Purwokerto output office is expected to pay more attention to the moral values contained in the office in order to build a positive atmosphere. better physically and mentally for employees so that they can increase job satisfaction which will reduce the number of deviant behavior of employees. The limitations of this research are 1) Not all questionnaires are returned, 2) Possibility of falsification of the data filled in because the theme is related to employee irregularities The limitation of this research are: 1) In filling out the questionnaire, many respondents did not fill out open-ended questions so it was difficult to identify the characteristics of the respondents, 2) Some of the respondents who filled out the questionnaire came from cities outside Purwokerto.
