Abstract

This situation of rapid development and business competition in the retail sector encourages grocery stores to adopt strategies to attract consumers and limit competition in retail activities, to maintain or increase sales volume, through fulfilling the needs, and preferences of consumers in consuming goods and services. To address this challenge, various partnership and support programs have been developed by companies and governments to help grocery stores. This issue prompted Sampoerna to form Sampoerna Retail Community (SRC). SRC is a modern-day grocery store incorporated in the partnership program of PT SRC Indonesia Sembilan (SRCIS) from PT HM Sampoerna Tbk. a leading cigarette company in Indonesia with a function as a forum for grocery stores in Indonesia to develop and advance. This study aims to analyze the effect of SRC partners on grocery store revenues and to find out the reasons for grocery stores that join and do not join the SRC. This research uses quantitative and qualitative approaches. The type of data used is primary data by conducting interviews and questionnaires distributed to grocery store owners in Ragunan Village. The respondents were divided into two groups: those who joined the SRC were 45 units and those who did not join the SRC were 4 units. Data analysis was carried out using normality test and paired t-test. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, joining the SRC provides significant benefits for grocery stores in terms of increased revenue and business performance. The reasons for the decision of grocery stores to join and not join the SRC are strongly influenced by the needs and conditions of individual business owners. Conclusions and implications of this study are that there is an increase in grocery store revenue after joining the SRC. SRC is very instrumental in increasing sales revenue at grocery stores, because with coaching and mentoring these grocery stores have a good store management system so that they can increase competitiveness, The decision of grocery stores to join and not join the SRC is strongly influenced by the needs and conditions of individual business owners. An in-depth understanding of these reasons can help SRC improve their programs and approaches to attract more small and medium business owners. An in-depth understanding of these reasons can help SRC improve their programs and approaches to attract more small and medium-sized business owners and maintain existing programs or add new ones.
